Very nice- Taken that out to EVOC yet?

Funny you ask.....I just scheduled it yesterday for Feb.

I did however chase a Camaro about three weeks ago. When I finally got him in cuffs he said "Damn dude.... you were all over my ass. I thought you were gonna pass me."    lolol

Top speed so far is about 145.

Does the spotlight move when you open the drivers side door?  We had some Explorers and Expeditions that were made with the light in the door.  Looks nice.

My fav part of that video is the big guy "strolling" up at the end and then casually plants his knee in the suspects shoulder for a few seconds. LMAO.... I LOVE that guy!!

Are you in that video during the take down or were you stranded back where it started?

j/k

Sadly....I was forced to ride shotgun with the chief of a neighboring town after my vehicle was taken from outside his PD.

As you can see that was in Jan of this year and I still catch hell about it today.

that sucks and its your fault but its not like every other cop in the world doesnt leave their cars running and unlocked too. It would be hard to jamb you up for something that so common place.

Ive checked by with the other major dept. in my jurisdiction and found like 3 of them in a house with doors closed on a domestic and all of their cars are sitting unlocked and running on the street with shotgun in plain view stuffed between the drivers seat and cage. Im just like ummm ok...

I take my key out of the ignition every time i exit the vehicle on everything except for traffic stops. Some guys keep two keys so they can leave the car running and still lock the doors. I guess thats better than nothing but a crackhead is still going to get that car quick with a brick.

Dont go hard on yourself though, i did something much much stupider when i was a rookie, and no i wont go into details.

yeah, I think we all have a guy like that on shift or on a shift we work with.

I always have 2 keys.  Only 1x so far have I left the car running and unlocked.  But I learned quick.  It was on a domestic and after I secured the scene and had begun the what's what part, FTO promptly drove it around the block and parked it out of site.  I came out with the guy in handcuffs ready to put him in the car and wrap it up.

I was like, um, "oh shit!"

luckily he said something before I went over the radio to ask Dispatch where she was showing my car. . .

Almost always turn it off now and lock it unless I need it to block.  Ours won't run the lights and stuff unless the car is running.  But we do have 1-2 cars that you cannot turn off unless you have a bud with jumper cables close.  it is ridiculous, I know.

BTW - I like the video of the girl running out topless on the basketball court better  :D

Well...the story goes like this.

This was a burglary suspect in the town next to mine that turned out to be just a criminal trespass. He was taken into custody and transported to the neighboring agencies PD for questioning that I was asked to be a part of. After the interview the suspect was escorted out the front and released by the Chief with me following.  My LOCKED/NOT RUNNING/KEYS IN THE IGNITION vehicle was parked right next to the front door of the PD. As the chief and I stood there talking we assumed the suspect had left on foot. As I exited the PD, I hit my key fob to unlock my door, the suspect stepped out from behind my vehicle, opened the driver door, started the vehicle and took the fuck off. The chase went for nearly 50 miles and almost crossed into Oklahoma on I35.

The funny thing was that after I contacted my chief at home off duty, he nearly caught up to the pursuit in his unmarked charger. The chase was N/B and he came from nearly 15 miles south of where the chase started.

The Tahoes used by the OHP here in Ok. are limited to 97 MPH.  I've had my dad's Navigator up to around 100 MPH and don't believe I would want to go any faster.

Nice ride.  We got a bunch of 07 and 08 Tahoes in this year.  The first time someone got a flat tire, it took us half an hour to find the stupid tire iron and jack hidden in there.
