I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't serious , but thanks for entertaining me
1) Bullet don’t make nice round holes when hitting hard targets (ie, not paper) like Hollywood would want you to believe.
2) Against hard targets, material doesn’t just push rearward but expand out from impact zone due to the kinetic energy of the initial impact.

Really ..... 223 sure makes pretty holes through .308 cases @ 100 yds ?
3) Bad angle on photo, the hole is actually smaller than neck sizing due to bullet elongations that happens due to the round being fired down a barrel... but we are taking centimeter. difference

to go to the range again tomorrow and try .308 vs .308 for myself .
