I've been meaning to go watch this movie for a long time! I'll tune back in when it's over.

Probably my favorite Eastwood film, right next to Unforgiven.

Didn't like the ending.

I think it did expand my vocabulary.

I don't know why, but I have this bad feeling that this might be his last one. Wouldn't be a bad one to leave on.

I wanted to see that. It's on PPV now.

He did say this was his last movie as an actor.

Just watched it lastnight. I liked it alot, but I can see how some didn't. I just want to have a bbq with the asain chicks when I'm that old. Seriously, I did find a few of the supporting actors not up to the level of some of the others. The priest and his son could have been better acted. Just felt forced. But I liked it alot. It was full of win.

When I'm his age, I can only hope to be half as crochity as Clint's character.

I hated it

He was supposed to be an old crusty racist bastage. That was the whole point. Did you watch the film?

ETA: Disregard the last question if the smiley at the end of your post is appropriate.

I strongly suspect a great deal of the message in Gran Torino was completely and totally lost on the audience, particularly much of Arfcom, which is truly a shame.

Aren't you the elist asshole. Nobody gives a crap about what you suspect. It pisses me off to no end when assholes assume what people do or do not get. Folks, we have found another liberal!

Aren't you the elitist for assuming that because someone assumes they are a liberal asshole?

This could go on all night, lol. If you pay attention you will notice I based my comment on what he has stated, not on what people may say. See the difference?

Oh, and to the "liberal elitist", I did pick up the theme of the movie.

It's not an action flick.

It's a drama about a man coming to terms with his own demons and finally finding redemption.

I think the ending has a fatal flaw, but Eastwood + Garand + hot rod = oscar material as far as arfcom is concerned.
