Fuck it.. enough is enough.
The only way forward that I can see is to sign up and do everything I can to help out the GOP, and for a miserable contribution of $25.00 that's exactly what I've done. I intend to canvass and volunteer my time and effort to ensure that common sense, hard work and belief in the Constitution is what made, and hopefully will continue to make this Country great. If we don't stand up to the tyranny that we have now, then we have no hope for 2013. |

The Republican party is the problem.
Only a fool would think they are the party of conservative values any more. They are more interested in winning elections. |
|
Good god why?
That's rewarding misbehavior. I used to be a fairly large contributor. Then the party went down the crapper. They now get told not one more dime until you make changes. Then they say, well money would help us change, blah, blah, starts at the bottom, blah blah. I said I'll glady buck up when I see it. Until then, you are out of touch with me, and therefore my wallet. |

Thanks, the only way to get the GOP back on track is by being active and open about your concerns.

Actually, I think your money would be better spent by joining or contributing to the NRA. At least the NRA is not a bunch of pikers wanting to compromise and be Obama's bitches.
|
|
I've decided I will only contribute/volunteer for INDIVIDUAL conservative candidates.
When you contribute to the RNC, a lot of RINOs get some of the money. ETA: I agree with the above poster. Contributions to the NRA-ILA are a more effective way of contributing to conservatism. My brother is an NRA member for just that reason, and he doesn't even own a gun. |

Just joined the Republican Party
I just sent them hate mail and told them I renonce the Republican party and I AM REGISTERING AS AN INDEPENDANT |

You guys propose to change the country by taking positions that won't get you elected?
Is your interest, your worldview, public or private? |

Good luck. I know which course I'll be taking.. and that's the realistic one. |

Well good for you. I am leaving the Republican party. You can have my seat, I kept it warm for you...

Besides....We have open ballots here so I can still vote Repulican. |

Oh there's a PARTY all right, and the Republicans have gotten "un-invited and tossed out gy bouncers since Bush the First, then it was finished by the time Bush the 2nd left office.
Unless they can somehow find a a candidate that is actually a Republican(Not a neo-con or Compassionate closet liberal) to to run for office in the Republican party they will just be a rotting corpse and every election it will just stink more and more. |

What the fuck is it with you people here.
On this board alone all I hear is how shit things are going to be under Obama and the Dems. On the next thread all I hear is how shit the GOP is, and were all doomed to a life of misery. Whats wrong with you. Lost your bottle, are you just all going to surrender to a life of crap without putting up any kind of fight.. jeez.. fucking unbelievable. You need to get of your sulk horses and start doing something about it. We have four fucking years to sort this problem out. |

I'm having trouble seeing how anyone from a state that elected that asshat Al Franken as one of its US senators could possibly be pointing the fail finger at anyone from another state. BTW––I stand by my original post. The NRA is a glass-eating T-Rex compared to the pussies that make up of what's left of the GOP. |

No, what's unbelieveable is people who will keep throwing money at a problem that isn't being fixed. Hey, they keep running shitty candidates, let's give them some more money! There's only one thing these fuckers understand, and it's money. They couldn't care less about what their base believes in or cares about as long as their pockets keep being filled. So take away their money, they'll start figuring shit out real quick, or they'll be out of a job. |

When the Repubs come back to my stalwart, anchored conservative principals that they once claimed to represent, then I will carefully consider re associating... Until then, I compromise with nobody. The GOP can go fuck itself. Sometimes shit has to get really bad before the idiots get a clue. Let it get bad..... |

The last three of you all agree with what I,m saying.. that if we just stand by and let the GOP be what they want.. then they will do just that.
But they can't refuse new blood, and its up to us to infuse that blood into them. Let us be heard and counted, and whats more, lets change the face of the party. |

We need to retake the Republican Party before we can even think about retaking America.

"I'm unhappy with the GOP and it's political direction. But I will continue to vote for their candidates and send them money. I will be more and more unhappy about it, and if they press me too hard, I'll hold my breath until they change! But I will continue to give them votes and money."
Fuck that. I remain a registered Republican for one reason... to vote for good candidates in the primaries. I donate money to those candidates, not the party. I will not support RINOs in any way, shape, or form. And in the general election, I will vote my conscience, not my party affiliation. |

It has provided me with the stimulus to think about an action plan. And, thank you to those who disagreed with his actions. I think both sides are absolutely correct. First, bitching from the sidelines will not accomplish a thing. One has to be on a team and on the field to affect the game (isn't that a great sports metaphor!?). But, blindly joining the Republican Party, and letting things go from there will accomplish the same as just bitching from the sidelines. As at least one poster has stated, part of that money will just go to the same old "electable" candidates, and people like us (dare I be that inclusive?) will continue to be taken for granted or ignored. This is why I quoted jnojr... and this will be my approach. I will join the Republican Party, and will donate the absolute minimum to be a member in good standing. And, from that base, I will do exactly as jnojr suggests. I will not support RINOS, and in the general election, I will vote my conscience, not my affiliation. In between those two actions, I will work my butt off to get rid of the RINOS, and to find and support candidates who will put strict conservative principles as their focus and their platform. And, by strict conservative principles, I mean the principles of smaller, less intrusive government, and strict adherence to ALL of the Bill of Rights, not just the Amendments which they can conveniently support because those Amendments fit either their 1) religious, 2) non-religious, or 3) tolerance viewpoints. Flame away... |

I really feel that fresh new blood, and the more of it that actually join the GOP can make a difference, and it needs to be at the national level. I'll have my say, and I'll do my best to make sure that everyone else does as well. We have to start at the bottom to make a difference at the top, and the more of us at the bottom that join the GOP can make a difference. |

The GOP will take 10-15yrs to fix. The values of the representative who underlie the party apparatus are what they are. Essential values and beliefs don't change on the individual level. Until the meat heads are replaced, nothing will change that is worthy of TRUSTING. THE "R"hino party will continue because they will continue to garner "R"hino party support, even if the voters are not represented in the least by their party.
If the peasant voters are willing to effectively lose, regardless of which party they vote for, why in the hell would the Kings change their position. |

I've been a registered Democrat since....since forever. I haven't bothered to change my party affiliation with the board of elections (if they even bother to keep records of such things. Do they?) because it's just another way to be a fly in the liberal's ointment.

I have been a republican since 1972, and for the most part, have voted republican. This year, prior to the election, I changed my party affiliation to Unaffiliated. McCain was, and is as evidenced by his current conduct during the confirmation hearings as well as his treatment of Palin after HIS loss, a major douche. Most republicans in office are little more that popularity contest contestants, who care little for conservative values. Just look at what they are saying now: - agree with mr obama - make things easier for him - lets confirm the guy who helped pardon FLN terrorists - tax evader? No problem for being the Treasure head - .
The republican't party is DEAD! I am actually thinking of changing my affiliation again, this time to the Alaskan Independence Party. Fuck republicans~ - You joined a once great party that is now a shit party. Have a nice day! |

That is why I sent them the hate mail and said No more Republican party for me untill you get right back to the center. |
|
I did that in october. I took pics and started a thread. I think I wasted my time quite frankly. I did it as a show of support, because sarah palin (who for some reason is the enemy of arfcom) gave a speech in which she upheld the constitution, and spoke of individualism and american ideals.
I think sarah is too good for the republican party. Truth be told, the new boss seems a lot like the old boss. Remember, Bush started the bailout. |
