Sarcasm aside, I'm frankly a fan of "laws mean what they say they mean, and don't change unless they are changed to say something different"

You don't see "as opinions change so should the institutions" as being exactly what the liberal progressives claim?  The basically says the laws and constitutions should be living documents, which the progressives then spin as saying we no longer need the 2nd.
