Sweet...I have the flag of my grandpas older brother (so my great uncle, I think
) who was killed in WW2. He came home on leave and when he went back he forgot a bunch stuff in a small suitcase. He never came home after that
Along with his flag I have 2 dress hats (I'm not sure what they call them but they lay flat, almost like those hats you see in fast food places), 3 of his patches, a hankey, another dress hat (I found a note he left in it, it reads "LIKE HELL ITS YOURS, PUT IT BACK." There was also a few notes/letters he wrote. I am trying to find his medals so I can put them in a case under his flag case so they will be together. I am also considering making a shadow box so they can be seen. Right now I have them in the suitcase in my closet but I want them out of there. (my grandparents had a house fire and they werent lost to the fire but they were moved and now we cant find them. We seen them in a box when we moved them back in but......)
I think that a service flag is one of the greatest thing you can own.
