Jailbreak it.

Then you can do Wi Fi with 3G and all sorts of other cool stuff.  They have a print app in Cydia that allows you to print docs from the phone to your network printer.  Awesome

Have you ever been somewhere unfamiliar and said, gee, I wish I knew where the closest _______ is?

The app AroundMe will show you what's near by. I've used it in a few places and it seems pretty accurate so far.

I'm also a big fan of Slacker Radio. Free isn't bad but subscription is kick ass.

So you bought a 3GS?  That will be 2 generations old in a month.  You could have gotten the current gen in a month for the same price as the 3GS.
Yeah, and I needed a phone NOW. This may surprise you, but I'm happy with what I have. My choices were replace phone now or go a month without a phone.

My submission as well.

ShopSavvy for Droid, I think it is called "Redline" for iPhone, gives you prices for stuff by scanning bar codes with camera

ShopSavvy has an iPhone version.  I went to college with the guy who wrote it.

ETA: Geico Brostache is silly, but fun.  I have it on my iPad.

Fair enough.  I was just going to point out that you usually have a 2 or 4 week period where you can return the phone.  My intention was to help you not be pissed off when the new model comes out and you're stuck with the older one.

Meh, I'm good. Thanks though. To give you some perspective, my current favorite game console is the N64.
