Well, I'm a bit of a Cigar neophyte here. I've smoked quite a few sticks, but never with the intent of fully appreciating them. I know what I like and don't like, but I'm just now really trying to start "tasting" the smokes. My dad picked up a few sticks the other day and gave me an Alec Bradley Tempus. It was a Churchhill, or Genesis is what I think AB calls them. Since this is my first AB, I need to have a couple more to get a better idea of this stick, but it was rather enjoyable. Not nearly as strong as a few I've had recently with Connecticut Broadleaf, one of which is the CAO MX2 (which is still one of my favorites).
As one of the other newcomers to cigars posted in a different thread, they all still kind of taste the same to me, so I didn't taste all the flavors and spices this one had to offer most likely, but it's a beginning. Like I said, it was definitely good enough to pick a couple more up and try again. I have a humidor coming in this week so I can start storing a few sticks up at a time, but just wanted to at least share what I thought of the AB Tempus. Any of you other guys had this one before? Thoughts on things to look for next time in this smoke? Think I may try the Robusto next time as that's my favorite ring usually.
ETA: Meant to also mention that when I received the cigar, it seemed a little dry to me, but when I smoked it, I had real trouble keeping it towards the end of the 2nd third. Definitely had a time keeping it lit on the last third. Fairly even burn though til the 2nd third.
