Like the title says I just bought my first "real" camera in years, a Panasonic GX850. Got it for both family stuff as well as wanting to take both still and action firearm pictures. Other than some extra batteries is the included 12-32 lens sufficient for the type of stuff I want to do?

I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need however I don't mind buying stuff that will get me better results.

I did take some photography classes in school a long, long time ago in the pre-digital days and can kind of remember some of the basics and have been looking at some some online sites to brush up on stuff.

While I personally think a second longer lens like a 45-100 or something would be useful, that should do you decently enough.  Either way, learn the camera and how you work with it before spending money on glass.  Bare bones, I'd grab a copy of understanding exposure 4th edition as a good reference book, and a camera cleaning kit.  All in all, under $30 on Amazon.

Learn the camera then go from there.  To be honest, not the way I'd have recommended, but it is a decent little camera.
