I think I need to shit or get off the pot on making a 9mm PCC decision before the election.

The stuff in the title are probably my leading options. I'd consider a CX4, but they're pretty much unavailable, and I'd consider the CZ Scorpion, but those cost a bit more than I'd want to spend, the trigger isn't that great, and I'd need to stock a new flavor of mag in a hurry making it even more expensive.

So, of the three in the title...

I have mixed feelings about PSA. I think they're okay as an AR manufacturer, but my last purchase from them had issues. I don't know much about the AR-9. I also don't like the fact that they have no uppers available right now, so you can't see pricing.

The TNW ASR is a full pound lighter than the JRC, but that might be the only advantage. I don't like the idea of a crossbolt safety or the charging handle being on the right side.

The JRC is the option I'm kinda leaning towards now. I like that it uses an AR safety, I like the reversible charging handle, and the examples I've seen in person seem to be of decent quality.

Thoughts?

I've got a JRC, PSA AR9, Sub 2K, MP5K, Kriss Vector

A buddy adds an Uzi, Evo and Full Sized MP5

the JRC is well it's a gun

it's a decent but heavy gun

It has always gone bang and well that's about all I can give it

The Vector is the new MP5

sure you can buy 5-6 JRCs for the cost of it I don't care

the MP5 for years has been the go to PCC because of it's lower recoil

Vector has less recoil than MP5

I'm faster on a plate rack with the Vector than MP5

In short buy Vector it's the best option

The Scorpion is a proven weapon.  $5 trigger spring kit from HBI.  $20 30-round mags. Reversible and dual side charging handles.  And a large and growing aftermarket support.  Tons of cool stuff you can do with the weapon as funds permit.

It will eat any ammo and is incredibly accurate.

In your shoes, I would probably just bite the bullet and buy the CZ.

Do I start with a pistol or carbine?

Long term result is probably SBR anyways. I'm just not sure which would be more fun as is.

Then I guess you don't want an Uzi either.

In the SBR forum there's some really cool 9mm ARs with like 4 inch barrels and UICW/PDW stocks. You can get them really short.

Thueron defense.
Lightweight, ar style trigger, safety, grips and buttstocks. Glock mags.
Easy takedown & reliable as heck. Build quality isn't an issue.

I don't know what costs compare to down there, but they are well regarded.

I bought the carbine first and prefer it.  I have a Shockwave blade on the pistol and it's fine too.

Yep, from 8# to 5.5#.  I bought one in anticipation of wanting to change up the trigger spring rate, but opted not to.  I am happy with the trigger.

Yeah Evo SBR with HBI spring = fun on the bun
Cheap and plentiful mags
Pretty good and growing 3rd party support
Accurate and great suppressed

FYI, the Uzi is a spectacular weapon, and top plates with pic rails are available. Mags are cheap and last forever (steel, and well-made). A touch heavy, but bombproof. LOVE mine (I have the Armson sight and mount on mine).

After handling both, I generally like the carbine a little better, and I'm sure I'd enjoy shooting it more, but the pistol can be shot on pistol ranges, and it's a good bit cheaper.

Tough call.

My preference is not strong.  I was able to pick up a used EVO pistol for around $600, so it was more of an impulse buy after I already had the carbine.

I kinda want an Aero Survival Pistol. It would be a good use of ets 31 tounds glock mags, but for the price I think I'd rather have a Glock 34.

+1

Scorpion EVO.  Save up just a little longer.  I have one, and an MP5 clone.  Like both.

I have a Scorpion pistol with my name on it at the shop.

I'm probably going to buy ~5 mags when I pick it up.

The Scorpion seems to have some interesting upgrade options.

Not including any NFA stuff in the future, I wonder how much this thing is really going to cost me.
