What makes this statement by Mr. Carter so entertaining is that the leadership of Hamas has stated REPEATEDLY that so long as they are "under occupation" that they will never renounce their claim to violence.
Thus SANE nations ought to stop funding the Palestinian Authority. Period. The PA is almost ENTIRELY funded by contributions from Western nations like the US. No money for you, Hamas. Enjoy governing while you are broke. See how generous your arab nation "bretheren" are. |
