I am a 43 year Jimi Hendrix fan and I'll be damned if this guy doesn't capture the essence of Jimi throughout his entire performance. I have listened to this song by Hendricks probably into the thousands of times. If I heard the below performance without video, I would believe this performance was by Hendrix.

I favor Mitch myself, but I agree with your sentiment about the vibe.

OP, also check out Trower, Frusciante, and Prince, to name a few, to hear Jimi's influence.

If you like Jimi, check out Gary Clark Jr, this guy has some Hendrix-ish flavor.  Really good stuff, check out his live recordings too.

Not bad, he's a good mimic. Stevie Ray Vaughan does a good Hendrix and is an awesome player with his own style and many good tunes.

The first time I saw Jimi perform he was the opening act for Scott McKenzie and The Mamas and The Papas, around 1967ish at the Hollywood Bowl.  It was before the Monterey Pop Festival when he just exploded on the music scene.

Hansen has been covering Jimi since the late 70's.

Welcome to 1978

Anything's possible.  I don't recall it or at least I never saw it.

ETA:  Apparently he did.  Here is an interesting article on it:

He looks like and sounds like Jimi. I don't think Jimi's teeth were that bad. Jimi had a right handed guiter strung backwards cause he was left handed. This guy has a left handed guiter strung backwards for him to play with his right hand.
