Hello, I am thinking of installing a Jewell trigger in an AR. I have read on this board & elsewhere that if one adjusts this 2-stage trigger too much it can easily result in doubling. If this is the case, then wouldn't one be in danger of having an MG even if the trigger is adjusted right? I am under the impression that if a rifle can be "induced" to double without changing parts then the BATF defines the gun as an MG. For example, I've read they will do all sorts of messing around with an AR, like using super-soft primers, etc., to try and get them to double. So, I'm wondering if the Jewell might be defined as a problem by the authorities? Thanks for any advice.

If it's adjusted properly it will work properly. If the BATF has confiscated your AR you have more things to worry about than if they are going to screw with the trigger to make it double fire. Make sure it's adjusted correctly and you will not have problems at the range or where ever you go shooting.
