Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Jeep Grand Cherokee Issue

One of my co-workers has a '99 Jeep GC and had locked herself out.  Another co-worker said "watch this" and tugged a couple times at the rear hatch and it opened right up.  Has anyone heard of this and does anyone know of a fix?

I just went and tried on my wifes 05 Grand Cherokee with no luck.  This dude isn't the Fonz, is he?

No, he said his wife's '03(?) did the same thing.  

I just tested it out on my co-workers car and it popped open the second tug.  She is all freaked out.
