The NPR reporter assigned to this story had a segment today about how the video is heavily edited and had three experts watch who all said "it sounds really bad when you hear the edited version but if you sit and listen to the whole thing you get more of a 'dummy shouldn't've said that" v. 'WHAT A JACKASS" (which I suspect is true) The funny part is how come super balanced and fair NPR didn't wait til that investigation was done before firing anyone? Kind of ironic.
Anyway Juan williams is as PC as anyone else at NPR but he has stood up to the black civil rights leadership and criticized them for fostering a victim mentality. I guess for a guy who is so super liberal and PC I guess I was impressed that he had the stones to stand up to Jesse Jackson and crew. I have heard that he gets called an Uncle Tom all the time.
