Get this. A local ATL woman with severe depression was chatting with other depressed people in an Internet chat room for, well, depressed people. An Austrilian grew concerned over the local ATL woman and was able to get a phone number and a partial address for her just before BOOM! The Austrailian then tipped off another chat room member, a Canadian, who called the police in Atlanta GA who called the county who then called the proper county police, who arrived at a local woman's home to find it on fire.

Weird enough yet???

It all took 6 minutes

Now, the local woman has been charged with arson.

Woman Injured in Fayette Fire Charged with Arson

(WSB Radio)

The case of an arson that injured a Fayette County woman this week has an interesting new twist. The incident appears to be a suicide attempt! WSB's Jeff Dantre' reports 48 hours prior to the fire late Tuesday night, Teresa Maselli had been conversing with a Canadian and an Australian in an Internet chat room for people with depression.

According to Jack Krakeel, Public Safety Director for Fayette County, minutes before the fire the Australian woman became concerned about Maselli and managed to obtain Maselli's cell phone number which she called.

During the call she managed to get a partial address from Maselli. Police say the Australian woman then heard an explosion over the phone.

The Australian woman electronically relayed the partial address to the Canadian woman who called 911 in Calgary, Canada. Calgary 911 relayed the message to Atlanta 911 who forwarded it to Fulton 911.

With more information, authorities determined the address was in Fayette County and sent the call there. The whole process from the Aussie e-mail, through Calgary, Atlanta, Fulton County and ending in Fayette County took six minutes.

Krakeel tells WSB News, "We have two good Samaritans from abroad who tried to intervene in this case and provide the assistance that they could and they were successful."

Maselli received minor injuries in the fire but remains under a doctors care. No one else was present at the home at the time of the fire. Krakeel says Maselli will be charged with arson.
