She's a plague; a train-wreck-in-waiting, whose own parents want nothing to do w/ her; a poster child for every borderline-personality-from-hell wanna-be. My buddy told me about some BCC documentary that essentially made her out to be Kurt Kobain's murderer. I shirked at the time, but I tend to think it has some merit now, even though I've never seen it. I'm no Kobain fan, but I from what he told me of the documentary, she pretty much kept him on a leash, screaming, yelling at him all the time - typical out-of-control borderline stuff - & he'd finally had enough & wanted her gone. The documentory's theory is that she offed him for this reason. Her antics over the years have me nearly convinced. I've dealt w/ enough borderline types in the past that it really doesn't surprise me at all. I think she's capable, willing, & generally, just damned crazy.

 I met her and interviewed her for about three hours once for KROQ in '96. It was a lot of fun. Melissa Auf Der Mar was my favorite of the band: super-sweet, and SUPER-hot! Sorry for the bad BW pic... I have the color somewhere, but I can't find it. |
