Seriously though, train hard and fucking LISTEN to what your instructors and senior cops tell you. Be proficient with your firearm, but realize it isn't your most important tool/force option.  

If you ride single in your dept. - always know your location and don't be afraid to call in backup.

If you ride doubles, always look out for your partner and remember at least one of you has to stay awake on patrol!

Nobody gets hurt faster than a newbie that thinks he knows how to handle shit. What else did I forget? Oh yeah, ALWAYS WEAR YOUR VEST!
