That's a pretty funny looking anal bead.
I think the 550 cord is going to get stinky pretty fast. |
|
|
Pretty sure those are illegal in many states.
Not that I don't have one made out of a 1-1/4" ball bearing that would allow me to brain thee! But it has a key on it, so I don't think it's an issue. Nice braid. What's the knot? |

I do remember seeing that at some time in the past and laughing. He was right you know.

It is not a "slung-shot, sand club or metal knuckles" so I am GTG |

Someone posted it in a thread here years ago, don't remember who.

I had not seen this, but an IM brought me here.
One day, I'll remember to take pics of an inch and a half guardrail nut on a loop of 550 cord that I might have observed once in the distant past, so I can post them here. |

Shoulda made it pink with a weighted Barbie head in place of the sinker...

A slungshot is a maritime tool consisting of a weight, or "shot," affixed to the end of a long cord often by being wound into the center of a knot called a "monkey's fist." It is used to cast line from one location to another, often mooring line. |

slungshot a striking weapon consisting of a small mass of metal or stone fixed on a flexible handle or strap and in some states a felony to make. add a key ring and keys on one end and now it is a "Key lanyard" and legal. |

Some people might think that to be a weapon. The thread a couple of days ago got me in a creative mood, so I sewed some leather pouches that hold $15.00 worth of quarters when they are stacked diagonally...a simple pouch for my parking change. But it would still make it coloring books for Christmas if you smacked someone with a seven inch long stack of quarters.
So no officer gets the wrong idea, I even stamped "Parking Change" on one side. |
|
I've seen the sig line but I think the original quote can be attributed to Clint Smith.
ETA: After doing some googling it may just sound like something he would say. I could swear I heard it on an old Thunder Ranch video. |

If I was a cop, and discovered that item during a legit frisk/search, I'd sure call it a weapon. Some States/localities have laws against such things. if you live in such a lplace, think twice about making and carrying this sort of thing.
