What a clean design.
I will pick one up after my Powerball win on Saturday.

Seriously, why didn't the Thunderbirds ever use the type?
Didn't they go for the F-84 instead?
Sorry for the hijack.

First one looks like a bad photoshop job, goofy perspective or a midair about to happen.

Yup.  Popped it with a NATO Seasparrow fired from a destroyer.  Missile worked perfectly.  It was a TM shot w/o a warhead...but the darn thing homed right in on the wing root radar centroid while the jet was in a 3-G weave.  That little Saber lost its right wing and did the prettiest pinwheel into the sea you ever saw.  We even got the cockpit camera film too.

They are very pretty planes.

I saw one of those crash at an airshow in Denver several years back. Sad day to see someone die while trying to entertain people.

That's ok!  I never heard of A-10 Friday until a couple weeks ago!  I still looking forward to learning the names of the rest of the week!

Hey, I just noticed!  That F-4E tail number 490; I think that was one of our birds in the 33rd TFW at Eglin AFB way back in the 70's!

Talk about a small world! My uncle is a former F-86 and F-4 pilot, I emailed him the pics since the F-86 was his favorite to fly. He sent back a squadron photo from 1955 when he was station with the Skyblazers in Chaumont, France. The tail number in the squadron photo is the same as the plane in the 2nd and 3rd pics that KA3B posted!

My ol' man flew an F-86D in the Danish AF,he was in the acrobatic team there. NOTE About 8 years ago,on US 82 east of Sherman TX,there is a closed  truckstop. Where should be trucks, there are 2 F-86s(one F and a D model),a Martin 404,and some of those Eastern Bloc trainers(Let-410s?),just sitting there.I climbed all over the F-86s.
