Do you think it's too early?

I've got a lot of things to do today, starting early would sure help me get a jump on the day.

Let me know.

My neighbor here in Minnesota mows his yard around 7am, I work second shift so in the winter time I use my snow blower at midnight when I get home from work for fair payback

Kind of disappointing that no one came out...  until I started up my weed-whacker!!  My next-door neighbour came out and made the sleepy walk to pick up his newspaper, all the while staring at me...  Nice, considering he had people building him a new fence all last week starting at 6am!

btw, the undies and cape really helped set the mood!!

Cut it! On a weekday I say go for it, weekends I would wait until eight.

Cut it now before they ban gas mowers!

The AQMD(Air Quality Management Board for those that live outside of So. Calif, this agency is resonsible for reducing smog in the 3 or 4 county area of So. Calif) for would if they could, they've passed stringent small gasoline engine pollution standards, claiming that they are responsible for signicant part of the air pollution.

Hello! of course these engines could be a major source of pollution  since they cleaned up the autombile pollution, and oil refinerry pollution, and backyard BBQ starter liquids etc.

Go for it. On the weekends I start mowing at 7:30, but then again I have no choice I gotta be at work by noon (12-11) on weekends

Agreed.  I sleep late on weekends - and sometimes on weekdays if I've been working late (last night I was up until 2:30) - and I would be pissed as hell if one of my neighbors woke me at 7:30 with a lawnmower or weedwhacker (especially since I am an extremely considerate neighbor myself).

Its FRIDAY! Their lazy asses should be at work.

Mow that sucker with a V8 turbo-diesel jungle-leveler if you have one.

Well I sleep during the day so I deal with all the noise.

7AM works for me.

Also crank up the big block car with just headers at 1AM.

This from a guy that doesn't have a mowable lawn for most of the year.

Most City Noise ordinances have 7:00 am for a start work or make noise time.

Hey, if you've lived in the LA basin since the days of backyard incinerators , just over 4 million people in LA and Orange counties in 1950, and horrendous smog to the current times with close to 17 million people in the same area, you just might agree with the apparently draconian smog rules.  I can remember when it was like yellow fog  and you couldn't see more than a few blocks.  Breathing hurt, your eyes burned.

The 451stroker in my '71 Satellite first roared to life for break-in at 12:39am on June 17th of '03 and sat there at 2500 rpm for 20 minutes with open headers (1 7/8" primary, 3 1/2" collector).  My brother and I were nearly deaf, and everyone that lived within a half-mile wasn't real pleased...
