I know some of you weren't alive... sit back and make fun of us old farts.  My musical taste has always been eclectic.

1991 I would have been listening to Guns n Roses and Metallica mostly along with Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.  I don't think Primus and Blind Melon were quite happening yet.

This one came out a few years prior to that, but I was listening to it a lot in 1991.

I didn't own a car in 1991, but my Walkman was definitely rocking some R.E.M., C+C Music Factory, Extreme, Vanilla Ice, Boyz II Men, LL Cool J, and Naughty By Nature.

With the exception of R.E.M., I'm not proud of it.

Eric Clapton's Journeyman was one CD.  I was into music, not popularity.

Grunge was starting to become big, so I was listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. Add to that Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM and various other industrial bands from WaxTrax!, along with bands I found out about from watching Headbanger's Ball or reading Guitar World. Other cassettes I had and rocked back then would be Van Halen 5150, Motley Crue Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr Feelgood, and Beastie Boys.

I was 14 back then and my music would ahve been the hard rock/hair bands of the day.

Death Angel, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Skinny Puppy

Mix tape my brother passed down to me.  Mostly Motley Crue and Rush on one side, and audio from The Holy Grail on the flip side.

All playing out from a single speaker I had between the seats, from a Sparkomatic AM/FM/Cassette deck.

I was cruising around on the weekends in my Mom's 89 Mazda 929 listening to Poison, Warrant, WhiteSnake, G&R, Eazy-E,
Metallica, Def Leppard, Van Halen.... and quite a few others. I wore out the cassette tapes! Mom's 929 have a CD player built in

lots of 60's and 70's music

I can't even remember what it is like to fast forward and rewind a tape.  I think I got my first CD player around 1993-4 and never had a tape after that.

In your car?  I had a portable CD player with a God awful tape deck adapter and an even shittier FM modulator. I found it easier to make tapes in the campus radio station and not deal with skipping.
