what? What? WHAT?

Obama is still the president. He will veto everything the congress passes. In the best case scenario, the Republicans cannot win enough seats to override vetos.

The economy will still be in the shitter in 2012. If Republican's control both houses, they will get some of the blame, and Obama will use this in his campaign, saying how they blocked him from fixing the economy. "See you gave them the keys back, and we are still in the ditch." With RINO's in some of thse seats, there would be no point to having a majority if they never vote with measures to repeal and stop the Obama agenda.

Taking back the house is enough to stop the Obama agenda, even if Obama can stop our agenda. However, it gives Republicans some cover with respect to the economy and other issues that will not be fixed.

I've though the same thing. Obama will try to blame us no matter what. Might as well cut his balls off now.

Obama is in office. Therefore, I doubt at least 50% of the nation's intelligence.

Not unless we get a supermajority.

And don't be surprised if a lot of Democrats give Obama the shaft. A lot of them would love to get out of this mess known as healthcare that they all signed up for without thinking first. And there's a perfect ripcord for them sitting in the white house.

Obama and the Republicans can play the blame game.

If the midterms are going to be any indication, its obvious who is going to be believed.

neuter that dog

I'm not so sure we'll get a senate majority (it'd be nice, however) , but I think a simple house majority (at least) is definitely doable.

Two can play that game. If the R's get both houses, they need to pass bills and force Obama to Veto them. Obama &co will blame Bush and the Republicans no matter what happens.

spot on.

Pass tax cuts and let him veto it. Then pass them again and let him veto it right before April 2012 when everyone is getting sticker shock, and Obama's up for re-election.

Why do you think the Dems are talking tax cuts now? They don't want the Reps to be able to use it next year.

Remember how Obama got in? Lots of "smart" people voted for H&C.

Now almost two years later they don't like that anymore. Two more years and who know where we're at. At least with some Republicans in charge they will take some of the blame thanks to the Dems media machine.
