Ivan is upon us here in NW GA.  The trees are sideways and its raining so hard you cant see 10 ft in front of you.  50 mph winds.  I can't imaging 130 mph.

Mother nature is an awesome thing.

I wonder how many DUers are going to blame Bush for the hurricane stealing coverage from sKerry's campaign...

Batten down the hatches boys, this is going to be a long night.

And for our neighbor to the North, looks like it's not long.

I'm in west-central Georgia along I-85 southwest of Atlanta, and we haven't seen too much today.  It's been raining and it's been windy, but it never really cut loose.  Now I see a big break in the precip headed up towards us.  Columbus already looks to be in the clear.

Are we going to get anything else tonight?  It looks like the hurricane remnants are already getting ready to be past us.  Are they going to come back around again from Alabama?

Brunswick got lucky on this one, too.  Cloudy and windy all day but no rain.

Take care guys!

We just got finished with most of it in Birmingham. Our power just came back on, and no tree damage, but  local news station is breaking a story with a large apartment complex under water right now.  Flash flooding looks like it is just starting as the rain continues. We were lucky with tornadoes, you guys in GA will need to keep an eye on that....be safe.....

Yeah, we've had several tornado warnings in the past few hours.  No confirmed twisters, though, as far as I know.
