Spineless, undermining, micro-managing, A-hole.
Won't commit to anything. Doesn't know shxt about issues of a technical nature. Passes blame. Will go out of his way to attempt to catch people in a lie. All up in people's business that don't work for him. (work and personal life) Other members of management verbally express their dislike for him and his ways. If you work for him he leaves you alone. The money is OK so I stick around and enjoy the show. |

I am guilty of that one. If I think you might be lying to me, I WILL find out. That is one of my only "rules." Do not lie to me. I find it very insulting. I have yet to fire anyone for screwing something up. But lie to me about it, and you are gone. I give the few people that work for me the same respect. If I screw up, I openly admit to it and take any heat for it. I expect them to do the same. |

My current boss is not an asshole. I really like the guy. But the company we work for is being bought by another company. My boss is leaving as of the transfer date.

Damn dude, you need some training on hoisting and rigging. You seem like an intelligent fellow and could do the training for it. The company needs to get you some training BAD!!!!! You boss is an uber cocksucking asshole from hell for not getting you trained. My boss is cool, he is technically proficent in our field and has good internpersonal skills. He is flexible and gets shit done. It's going to be shitty when he retires. |

My boss thinks the world revolves around him...probably due to his dad being a former US congressman and being raised with the proverbial "Silver Spoon".
He's known industry-wide (our industry is pretty small and tight-knit) as an asshole. The sad part is that when most of us are being an asshole, we know it. He, on the other hand, doesn't have a clue. |

One of the other groups I help out has a manager like this.He is a cunt and is not technically proficent, he replaced a mechanical relay for a solid state relay. The application was for switching an DC signal and he used an SCR based relay. That doesn't work. The real shitty part is that he busts everyones balls but the people working for him, he even hired a person because they were "friends". |
