If you have the DVD you should be able to use a dubbed soundtrack. I watched it both ways to see the differences.

You're not one of those people who cant keep up with subtitled movies, are you? Do you hate wide screen boxed movies, too?

If I wanted to read the movie I'd buy a copy of the script. When I heard how good this movie was I was happy to see it on cable.. turned it off once I realized its all subtitled. Blah. ...but I love widescreen movies(on a big TV.. sucks on my 27 inch.. rules on my parents 60 inch). I wish all TV was broadcasted in widescreen.

Not after I've been drinking, on second thought I don't like em at all. Not into widescreen either and I have a 60" TV. I get over being pissed after I forget it's in widescreen.

Want to try out something really fun? Watch "Ratcatcher" without subtitles and see if you can understand 5% of what is being said. They are speaking english, I think.

[Last Edit: 10/20/2002 11:20:03 PM EDT by Stealth]
Everyone kept telling me how great this movie was. So I watched the whole thing. I looked for the shadowing's, the deeper secrets, the messages, the obvious and non-obvious views, etc. I even tried to believe that there was a deeper, more intrinsically beautiful message buried somewhere in its folds. Screw it. It really sucked. Not only did it suck ass, it sucked stinky filthy crap stained ass. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - for those who have just given up on life. I'm going to stop writing about this, but only because the mere thought of this movie makes me want to puke up my perfect and wonderful beer. [edited to get rid of the 'f' word[:D] ]

There wasn't any deep message in CTHD, it was just a story that seemed simple at first, and got more complicated, drawing you into it. I thought it was a really cool flick, a well made Kung fu movie.

The movie IS loaded with artsy fartsy metaphores and shit like that. I HATE THAT CRAP. It is the director seeing if he can be more clever than the viewer, well fuck him. However, as a "kung fu movie" and NOTHING MORE, I liked CTHD. It was like a modern Shaw Bros. film.
