Just got back from a local jewelers buying the gf some jewelry for xmas. The lady helping me was very nice, and also pretty attractive probably in her mid 30's. Anyways we were chit chatting shooting the shit and she said i can gift wrap these as well.

Well I never really thanked her for going the extra step and doing it. She told me her name (also got it on the receipt) so I was thinking about facebookin her and saying thank you in a message.

creepy or no?

DO NOT DO IT.      Going outside of the professional relm (ie into someone's personal life) is a major no-no, unless you're trying to pull this woman into a three-way with your GF's existing consent.   Your GF will rightfully think you're flirting, and the saleswoman will think the same.   Both will probably not be pleased with your actions.

You are a moran for even asking.

Are you "Facebooking" her because you really just want to say thank you, or because she was "very nice, and also pretty attractive probably in her mid 30's"?

I would say it is not necessary to track her down to say thank you. She does that all day, its her job.

If the store has a web site, see if they have a "CONTACT US" or e-mail address. Send a note to her boss and let them know she went above and beyond. She gets credit for her efforts, it's impersonal enough to avoid the flirt / creepy factor - everyone wins.

I wouldn't do it, it won't end well. Most stores will wrap gifts around the holiday season, I've been asked alot of times by the cashier if I wanted the gift wrapped.

ETA: On second though, do it.

Your plan: Creepy.

My plan: Facebook the local jewelry store, and comment publicly on their wall how they go the extra mile.

Aren't you the gentleman that was complaining about his girlfriend bugging you about wanting to get married and have babies?

Sounds like you are looking for an upgrade...you might want to let your current girl go.

If you were that impressed with her, call the store, ask to speak to the manager, and then explain what a pleasant transaction it was and how helpful she was.  DO NOT STALK "Facebook" her.

WTF, how old are you?  The hot saleslady was being hot and flirty to get you to spend more money and to earn more commissions.

Do you fall in love with waitresses?

Flowers? She gift wrapped a freaking present for his gf, not like she donated an organ to him. While not as stalkerish as the Facebook message, any kind of contact other than calling the manager and saying she did a good job is plain weird.

Go back in and have her bend over alot getting stuff out of the display for you. If that is good, then fb stalk her. Yes, do the friend thing to her and all of her female and gay friends too.

A professional note to her boss complimenting the good service you received is the correct answer.  Anything beyond that is flirting/stalking and the GF will be rightfully pissed.
