I emailed him asking him what was going on, here is his answer...
I actually sold the car twice already. The Keyesboys won it, came to pay for it and simply because he only looked at the pictures and did not read the auction did not realize that the paint was the original 51 year old paint and needed restoration to be show quality. I had obviously spelt that out like you can see but since the car shows so well he did not bother to read the presentation. I allowed him to back out because I want happy clients and he had not taken delivery either. The second client that won the auction the next time around found that a few weeks later I ran his true dream car, my 1954 Ford Crestline Skyliner Glass Top. He had already paid and took delivery of the Mark II and pleaded to trade which I has fine with and so he paid to have the Ford shipped back east and I paid to have the Mark shipped back to me, and here it is again. I never shill bid, that's just plain stupid. Plus eBay tracks that quite well and terminates seller accounts when it happens. My company markets and sells almost exclusively on eBay near a half million dollars in inventory every month, the last thing I want is to have my business closed by eBay. Now if you are a bidder and not just another eBay Police Squad Member feel free to bid, but please read my auction fully and don't play games, if you are just a eBay PSM please investigate someone else or get a real paying position.
