Hell no. Cheese should be an ingredient in the final product, but by no means the most prominent.
That said, one of my favorite Reuben's (strictly speaking it's not a Reuben but that's what they call it) is pretty much a Swiss grilled cheese with Irish style corned beef and sauerkraut and Irish soda bread.

No, a Reuben is not the final form of grilled cheese.
Cheese is the most prominent ingredient (aside from bread) in a grilled cheese sandwich. Putting a large amount of anything else in there (such as corned beef or sauerkraut) causes it to cease being a grilled cheese and become a new sandwich. Reubens are fucking delicious though, and now I want to eat one. |

A Reuben in all its delicious glory is not a grilled cheese. A Reuben is one way that God tells us he loves us. Nothing against the grilled cheese though, which sounds delicious!
