What's with all your religion related posts in GD today?

Also: actual answer on Catholic teaching on the Pope's office: http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p123a9p4.htm (Protip: You can answer like 90% of general Catholic related questions utelizing the CCC).

Short answer to your question: No.

Looking for opinions or facts based on factual evidence or materials

I guess adults cannot discuss certain topics without blamed for trolling others who easily get their panties in a twist

Here again, then http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p123a9p4.htm

That's the short answer anyway. Probably 75% of all basic Catholic questions can be answered via the CCC or the Summa Theologica which a version of can be found here: http://www.newadvent.org/summa/index.html

Not part of Catholic doctrine. Many Popes have apparently not been all that tight with the Almighty. That said, God does some pretty decent work with broken vessels sometimes.

That's not how this works.

That's not how any of this works.

The pope is just a man in a funny hat.
Link Posted: 1/21/2015 11:44:49 AM EST
No. Many of his recent statements are in opposition to what is clearly printed in the Bible.

What kind of a question is this? Who is someone to measure how close someone is to someone else. Intangible as it gets.

Seriously? You asked a question, the answer to which can never be proven. It's not like you asked what the square root of nine is.

No.

From a biblical perspective that person would be Jesus (John 1:18).

From a human perspective, Google Vatileaks.

OP is trolling and needs a timeout.

OP I am Catholic. The Pope is the head of the church. Peter, the first Pope or Bishop of Rome was very close to God. Man being man, is capable of and has perverted religion over and over again because man is sinful by nature.

If you want to know which humans are closest to God read your bible and see whom he took straight to heaven. Then you'll know.

I am pretty sure you don't really want to KNW anything.

No! I don't need the pope to talk to God for me. He is my heavenly father and as such I go to Him and communicate directly.

The pope is a man just like all other men. Nothing special about him.
