With the bad press for all things/people republican, are we to expect a democratic control of government in the next few years?

The mid-term elections could get ugly.

And Bush is not helping matters.

I too wonder, and worry, that not only will midterm elections be iffy, but that the GOP will not have a viable candidate for the 2008 election.

It is quite possable that a lot of conservatives will not be going to the polls in the mid term elections.

There are quite a lot of people that feel let down by our "conservative" legislature and administration.  They are spending money like a drunken sailor on his first night of shore leave.  They have done nothing to secure our borders.  They are not standing up to the B.S. that is being spouted left and right by the extreem left.  We have a Republican majority in the House and Senate, but what good has it done us?  Each bill that gets passed has more and more pork.

Yes, G.W. has done a good job on the war on terror.  Yes, they have done a good job on tax cuts.  They have done an OK job on 2nd amendment issues.  The administration has appointed some pretty good people to the courts and to other high offices, but this may not be enough to bring conservatives out to vote in the mid term.  Hope I am wrong, also hope the G.O.P. is getting the hint that all is not well and start acting like conservatives and doing what they were elected to do.

Republican or Democrat doesn't matter.  Politicians only care about one thing, increasing their power base.  The issues don't mean anything, they are just talking points used to get elected.

Left, right, red, blue, and all the other labels are meaningless.  They're used to distract us as a population, and make us fight and squabble amongst ourselves, instead of paying attention to what those in power are doing.
