Whats going on here?  Stupidity or a dick measuring contest?  Just watched a Craftsman bottom chest go for pretty much the cost of a new one from Sears.  It didn't even have a key.

yes, you can thank the people who didn't grow up with the internet for that.

I had a thread a long time ago and the old timers said the way they did auctions was to just type in the max they would pay for the item and not snipe it.

This. Ebay bidders are weird. Lowball illogical offers and bidding a used item up for more than you can get it new.

Who would ship a tool chest ??

And who would pay as much for a used dented one as a NIB one ?

I bought a like new Craftsman stack tool box / highend ball bearing drawers off of craigslist and paid $250ish. Just 1yr ago so was recent. Guessing retail would be at least 500-600 + tax

There are always deals on there for nice rollaway tool boxes.

I would forget about eGay for a large tool box

Some people are stupid enough to think they're getting a bargain, just because they're buying from an auction.

I learned that fact before I ever heard the word "internet".

my favorites are the ones who cant seem to reconize a good deal.... and who seem to think they will get something for free

personally, i USUALLY, just look for a really good, buy it now price, and just buy the damn thing now... cause i KNOW 99% of the time it will sell for a lot more money.. ( i used to buy 10/22 barrels and stocks for around $20.00 like this all the time.... then resell them for $40.00-$50.00....... as they always sold for 40-50... certain ones went for close to $100..

but some jackasses just feel like they will be the 1% and get it for $5.00 or something.

example... i put a gps up for auction... its used, but like new..... say, walmart sells them for $200.00.

i put it up on ebay for $100.00 buy it now...... cause i just want it gone, and not have to wait 3-5 days or whatever for a full auction... ... so, you can buy a very lightly used gps, for 50% off.... seems like a great deal to me... every damn one listed on ebay, even used sells for a minimum of say $180.00... your not gonna get it for free..

buy it now.... $100.00

buttfucker007... bids $1.00    so, the auction runs out..

so now the auction bullshit runs...... and a week later... buttfucker007, ends up winning it for.... $250.00.....  a fucking new one, with warranty is $200 at walmart, jackass could have just bought it now for less than 50% of what he ended up paying...

lot of idiot bidders out in the market. I saw a confederate silver bars for sale on Silvertowne for 20bux during the whole flag thing and it was  in stock. looked on Ebay and some guy was selling them for 60bux and people were buying them left and right!
It made me laugh a little
