ETA: I imagine the hardest part would be draw filing them to shape with needle files

You skipped a step first you try duct tape then JB weld.

I've seen DIY temporary filling kits at Walgreens before. If nothing else, they probably taste better than JB Weld.

Gorilla Glue FTW!

Give it a shot and lets see the aftermath...I mean repair!

Duh! I thought everybody did that. It's a common fix for ARFCOM members and you are showing your ignorance by even asking.

btw, post pics so the new guys won't ask this stupid question.

Sure. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

I am not sure that you want JB Weld in your mouth.
Link Posted: 7/19/2008 10:29:22 AM EDT
Possible? Probably.

Wise? Erm... fuck no.

Lemme put it this way: if you do it, when you see a dentist to have it redone properly, he will be well justified to smack you upside the head a few times.

I'm sure it's quite similar to the enamel cement that dentists use, only it's available without a prescription.

I, for one, anxiously await your step-by-step instructions complete with pictures.

So im thinking.. gring the molar down a bit with the dremmel. make a wall around the tooth with another piece if duct tape. dry it well with a can of compressed air. fill the walled area up with JB weld.. use 2 popcicle sticks to keep my mouth open to let it dry.

think i have it all covered?

I was thinking AcraGlas might work

Don't they use Super Glue in surgery now?

You're going to need tiny clamps to hold the pieces together until it dries though.

Yep Gorilla Glue is the shit...but having to clamp the area tightly for a couple of hours might be a tad bit uncomfortable.

Theoretically speaking, I suppose it's possible. However, JB Weld isn't really intended for this application, it may be toxic, etc. I don't recommend that you do this.

Being that Gorilla Glue expands with moisture while setting, this is probably not the best way to go. However, I will say that it will most likely be the most painful way to go.

Some where in that process you forgot the hammer. I know you will need one....

Ack...I'd go to an emergency dentist before I went to Walgreens.

Besides many things auto related, a guy I worked with lost a filling and 1/2 a tooth, put JB weld on it and no more pain.
Now I dont think its too smart to put those chemicals in your mouth, but he's not the only one that has done it. He got the idea from somebody.
He's the same guy that glues cuts shut with superglue after squirting them out with Brake cleaner...Ouch.

Once the teeth abscess, they are in a pus filled sack of infection. Then they get easier to pull. So that can be a DIY project as well.
Link Posted: 7/19/2008 11:48:00 AM EDT
Yes it works great, I have been using this for years!

Just go to the dentist. I bet if you'd been going to your 6 month cleaning and exam that you wouldn't be in this $1000 predicament.
