I ended up with and ass load of ground meat. And in my stupidity it went bad. Is burning it a good way to dispose of it?? I just cant throw it away, and I don't have a garbage disposal. What kind of temperatures would be needed to get rid of all of it?

Thanks!
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:10:26 PM EST
Why can't you just put it out with the trash?

Drop it off in the woods. (Or a vacant lot/field) Some critter will thank you for it.

Save it for your inlaws.

Double-bag it, then seal it up with duct tape. Problem solved.

For one, dogs eat a lot of nasty shit, spoiled ground meat is going to be the least of the worries of a stray dog. Strays live off rancid meat. Also, not to be a smart ass or anything there are things called trash bags and garbage cans.

Dogs can eat stuff that would kill you and I. They have different flora in their guts..
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:14:44 PM EST
Drive it out in the country and throw it in the ditch. I think you're making this more difficult than it needs to be. Burning it would be a pain in the ass. Think about it, you would basically be cooking it until it was ash. Put it all in a bucket and toss it outside of town. Meat only, no packaging. Nature will get rid of it and its probably the best meal some coyotes and buzzards had all month.

save it for those lonely times

old meat needs lovin' too.

It is if by old meat you mean a nice rack of ribs, lovingly massaged with dry rub, cooked and smoked slowly till the meat is falling off the bone, and then slathered with a delicious sauce....

Otherwise, I don't know....
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:17:45 PM EST
keep it in the freezer until trash day....?
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:19:06 PM EST
Dogs gnaw on long dead animals and eat their own crap. It won't hurt them.

You know, you could have used that ground beef to make hamburgers.

I think the stupid part was having meat in your ass in the first place!

I tried burying some in the bean field next door - the critters dug it up over night.

Just toss into a ditch along the road, or on the shoulder - preprocessed road kill!

Cat Bait.
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:30:52 PM EST
sounds to me like you just want to....burn meat.
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:34:20 PM EST
take 50# out at a time. do it every 3 days, and it will be gone. It is spring time, there are bears, coyotes, stray dogs, carrion birds of all kinds that are hungry after the winter. drop it off in the closest public land, you should have lots of that near you in sw or.

It probably IS his inlaws.

First he needed to mount stainless steel rings in the wall that would be practically impossible to pull out. Then it was a good set of butcher knives. Now he need's to get rid of the excess meat that spolied (I guess the wood chipper/shredder didn't work out). I think we can all see what's really going on here. Armin Meiwes, eat your heart out.

Gift wrap it and leave it on the trunk of your car next time you go shopping. Someone will take care of the problem for you.

Two hundred and forty pounds?

Who did you kill and grind up?
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 12:49:34 PM EST
Do you live on a any acreage at all? If it were mine, I'd just burn it out back. It'll be dust and ashed in no time. Just build a hot fire, and start adding meat. Nice and easy. Bring beer.

What kind of meat? Is it a relative or acquaintance? You should ask for the temperature where DNA is no longer recognizable.

Your local MickeyD would love to have it
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 1:05:05 PM EST
For christ sakes how much meat we talking here. You buried some, put some out in the trash and the dogs are gonna eat it. Did you grind a whole cow or something.
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 1:05:17 PM EST
OK, let's kill two birds with one stone.

Ship all your old nasty meat to Ol' Painless. He can put it in his "Box 'o Truth" and do bullet expansion tests on real meat, rather than gelatin, wet newspaper, and other poor substitutes for the real thing.

Am I brilliant or what???
