Buy one!

I will have a .50 too... maybe the AR50 for me.

Impractical? Maybe. Cool? Definitely.

If you got the scratch I suggest you get one while you still can......................but, check to see just where you will be able to shoot it. Calverton allows them but the Pine Barrens range in Westhampton which is private has banned them.............................................

They are undoubtably a terrific weapon made by a very pro-2nd company.

Just keep in mind that ammo is very expensive, optics will be very expensive, it is hard to find a big enough range to experience the true power and range of a .50, and it is a big pain to lug around and store safely.

I have too many times spent my money on something really cool, only to regret it later when I realized I had no practical use for it.

We've sold 2 in the past year, and both times I was thinking "you lucky bastards".

I personall would like a Barrett M82A1 And would be happy as hell if they made a Beta C Magazine with a 100 rd cap for It.

If you are in the market for one, get it while you still can. By the looks of it, the days of owning a .50BMG without having to jump through hoops is coming to an end.

If I had the money, I'd have a Barrett .50
Link Posted: 10/3/2004 5:49:18 AM EST
I wouldnt mind having one

In terms of an investment, its better than money in the bank. No matter who gets elected in November they aren't likely to get cheaper or easier to get. Think about it.

I would rather get something a wee bit nicer, Like a m249. But thats just me.

Its your money do as you please.

Now if a beta c type magazine was for purchase with at least 30 round cap, then yeah it would kick ass.

Go get a semi m2, I have seen them for about $6200 in real nice shape.

DEFINATELY buy that .50!!

It's not a status symbol. It's not a "armchair" whatever thing.

It's a FREEDOM THING!!!

BTW, this thread is worthless without pics. Show us what you wanna get!

If I had $20,000, I would buy, in this order, a new computer, a Rolex, a Barret M82A1, a scope, membership to a range, and as much ammo as I could with the rest.

ehh, for that kind of cash i'd go full auto

oh wait, you are in NY.. get the barrett
