This place is worse then democratic underground.  I mean they even compare the new Spiderman movie with the "Class Struggle".  I would like to know if any of these people have ever held a real job.

I think socialism is an idea that logically should be abandoned. [u]  It's up there with worshipping the pharoh or something like that. [/u]  Ideas born in the transitional periods of Europe two centuries ago.  These Socialist don't understand: economics, people or just plain common sense.

Don't these people realize why everyone wants to emmigrate to this country.  This is still a great land of opportunity for anyone willing to work.  There are people who came to this country ten years ago who had nothing and with legitimate businesses are now millionairs.  Can any place else boast that?!  Nobody wants to emmigrate to France do they?

In 1990 I saw how stupid people can be when they elected a shitload of communists (ie Clinton, Hillary, Shilala, Reiche,etc) to the executive branch...   Socialism is a Liberal Arts College thing. They have been championing Marx/Engels since the beginning of the great depression.. It hasn't ever changed...

Socialism / communism / Marxism is, like all other despotic gov'ts, about grabbing power for a select few.

Communism has traditionally preyed upon third world countries, and "thrid world individuals" (call them the less evolved, less industrious, less self-reliant, more lazy, more prone to want to be a victim of something or somebody) in developed nations.

Using class struggle, namely by pitting the poor against the rich, the minoritiy against the majority, the uneducated against the educated, laborers against management etc etc they have convinced those of a lesser financial, educational, societal, whatever status that those more industrious and self-reliant than they HATE them.

In essence, they get the pond scum to believe those who are productive in society have it out for them (as if working 50+ hours a week, AND taking care of my own personal business leaves anytime for me to repress anyone [rolleyes] )

They create a victim mentality in the downtrodden, and then promise them "If you vote for us (there's the power grab) we'll get revenge for you on those evil capitalists that oppressed you."

If you listened to AlGorithms campaign, it was inundated with this message. ANd there exists a large pondscum contingency in America that ate up his message of socialism.

Now, the European connection.

The pondscum types hold a majority in Europe, and therefore have embraced Marxism to punish capitalists like me that live in Europe.

There are some communists around campus. Most are art students.
I guess they think that in their workers paradise they could paint all day instead of having to work for a living.

Call me crazy, but I don't think there is a big demand for people who's skills consist of:

Sitting in a coffee shop.
Putting ones "artistic suffering in to visual meaning"
