I was in a bookstore the other day and on a lark thought "hey, I will get a Sgt. Rock comic, haven't done that in a long time."  But they did not have it.  It troubles me to think that a whole generation of kid may be missing out on Little Sure Shot, Short Round, Long Round, and the like.  Just curious.

I'm not sure but I think they stopped new issues sometime around '92.

And don't forget the 'Ghost Tank' - the M-5 Stuart tank destroyer, with it's Southern crew attended by the Ghost of Gen. Jeb Stuart hisself!

That and Sgt Rock of Easy Co., got me through the War!

Rock's gone, as are all the other great war comics I grew up with.

FWIW, there are some newer Unknown Soldier and Enemy Ace "graphic novels" that I found while searching for old war comics on eBay. They are definitely not what we grew up with, but hey, at least I got to revisit the U.S. and E.A. again!
