What the hell is up with this? I have seen pic after pic and video on TV of these asshats running around with AK’s that they have obviously removed stocks from as evidenced by the lugs protruding from the rear of the receivers. Has anyone heard what the story is behind this? I could see it if they were trying to hid the rifle under clothing to sneak up on and engage a target at close range, but these guys are in a full on battle with our troops.

I read once that "a certain Islamic military's" (the taliban's?) artillery drill was to point it in about the right direction, pray "If Allah wills it, we will hit." and let fly. I mean I read that in a serious military history book, not in something that could be believed to be a joke. |

Even ther assholes that still have stocks on their rifles don't use them. They might as well remove the sights too.
I love seeing the training videos of the "highly trained" terrorists running around firing their AK sideways at chest level. |

Most of the Iraqi PSD types here roll with one variety of folding stock or another, but I have seen a few with the standard set up and the wooden stock just removed. I saw a local PSD guy carrying a Sterling SMG today. He had the stock folded up and was carrying it by the pistol grip...finger on the trigger, of course.

If you followed the context of the thread, you'd see that most of us who captioned the pic were making a funny.
