Found a couple of places trying to sell the new Iraqi dinar as a high risk investment.

Thoughts?

could be a good idea, if we stay there and finish the job the value will skyrocket.

The prices seem to be averaging around $150 to 100,000 dinar ratio.

Problem is that "high-risk" doesn't begin to describe the situation. 3d world countries commonly replace their currency, often for the purpose of derailing speculators. They'll replace the old dinars with "Liberty Dinars" or some such at 100:1 and give holders X days to redeem them in Iraq. Then a speculator with a zillion dinars is holding the shitty end of the panic stick.

I am no expert, but I've watched this sort of stuff with some interest for awhile.

Remember as Iraq stumbles to democracy, the USA will have a less and less say so in the daily and long-term goings-on inisde the country both economically and politically. So it is a gamble.
