How old were you when you started shooting? I remember being 7 or 8 when I first gotten bitten by the bug and have been involved with firearms ever since. Now, I've introduced several of my adult friends to the activity and many of them are now gun owners or on their way to becoming gun owners. I've bought a couple of .22's specifically to use to get people started. My nieces (ages 12 & 16) know that I'm a shooter and have made some noise about me taking them to the range at some point. I know that, legally speaking, I need my brother's permission. He's not opposed to the idea but he's not particularly fired up by it either. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, etc. on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bring him too, get him involved with a black rifle and then see what happens, he might even get some for him and his daugthers. GET PERMISSION specifically for the activity, if he doesn't want his girls going, don't try and side step it. It isn't worth starting a family feud over. If you invite him, he will probably go. Good luck. Also, I was 3 when I got my first BB gun and 5 when I got a .22 just for my use. Ice
