Bump because I think more than 46 people should find this interesting.

Election's over, as far as I can see.  Kerry should just change his name to "Dole"

Good info.
confirmed some of my pre-conceived notions.

Like for instance IN is almost always Republican.
4 times in the last century they voted for a democrat.

Here are the maps from 1900 to 2000, with their current 2004 computer projection.

Please note that in these maps, Republican states are in BLUE and Democratic states are in RED.  As it should be.

I'll let others with more political insight draw conclusions from this.

I think Nixon-McGovern has to be the biggest landslide in the 20th century, possibly ever?

1984 was worse.

Sure enough you're right.  McGovern got 17 electoral v otes and Mondale got 13...

Depends upon how you define "biggest". Check out Monroe vs Adams in 1820.

We certainly are a divided nation over the past 15 years.
The most disturbing elections that I see are the dominance of FDR during the rise of the welfare state in the '30's.
Another interesting note is that libertarians, constitution party and all other independents combined (other than Green) only total about 1/2 of the total number of Green votes. Very disturbing that there are that many leftist whackos out there.
