... Today I go in to pick up my Ruger 10/22. All stoked to get it (Did my 10 day wait) and when we open the box, the stock is in TWO PIECES!!! So the clerk goes to the back with it and he is there for a while... Im waiting..... waiting.... waiting... this isnt looking good...

clerk comes out with the manager, Says to me "Well we have a problem here... that was the last 1022 in stock of that style... I can either give you the display model and take 30.00 off what you paid or if you want to wait a week we have more coming in."

Hmm let me see the display... Clean. Not a scratch or a blemish on it... SOLD! I took the display and used the 30.00 store credit to get scope rings for it.

Not too bad there... GREAT store and no assholes that work there.

I am saddened that you failed to draw down.

Well, your gun was in two pieces, so drawing down wouldn't have been prudent in your situation.

Yeah... it's our "Cooling Off" period. But the stupidity is... If I ALREADY OWN A firearm... why do I need to "Cool Off?"

I mean is someone gonna say?... "OH I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT GUY DID THAT TO ME ... PROBLEM IS THAT I ONLY OWN A .38... AND HIS OFFENSE MERITS A .44!!!" Give me a friggin break

Sounds like a good reason to get both.

I've already got my .50BMG for when someone REALLY pisses me off, but no .22 for those everyday pet peeves.

I've got to fix that.

Floor models can quite often not be a good idea. I would think an appliance repair man would know that?

I went to my normal haunt 2 days ago and started fingering a few ARs half the safetys were broke and one of the sights was fucked up not to mention dings and scratches. Hope you gave it a thorough lookover.

Just curious is a gunshop in Commifornia as depressing a place as I imagine?

yup. No grips, everything surplus is 60 years old, and we lack magazines big enough to poke people four feet away with.

This was just put out one the floor a week and a half ago. I was there the day they put it out. That was the day I ordered it so it had only 10 days worth of finger f***ers on it. I did a thorough check on it and it looks great. I DONT normally get display models... especially the ones that look beat to sh*t.

Kali has a 10 day waiting period for ALL guns - short, long or in-between.
