Pretty impressive on the part of the second officer. A lot of standing around with the other guys. I work on fire engines and have lost count of the number of scraps we have helped cops with when they get attacked. Not one of our guys even hesitates.

I know a couple racine County guys. They're at a weird point right now where they're pulling deputies off the road to work the jail due to a shortage of C/O's. I'd imagine the guy who does absolutely nothing is a byproduct of that situation.
The guys that I know who work for racine County and city are top notch though. Very hard charging, tough dudes. |

I worked in corrections as a field officer for 25 years, and having a partner who always has your back (or front in this case) like the one that instantly grabbed the inmate is invaluable. During my time in USMC, I never saw combat, but I think that in some very small way, I understand how the brotherhood of combat veterans occurs.
