Position and size seem a bit over the top. I don't "get" that. To each; his own. It means alot to me and hopefully soon I can compliment it with some art underneath that might explain it better. The BOTD? is in case of female tats being posted. |

My GF just got her's done. She's in love with this movie and had wanted a tattoo of the poster for probably close to 6 or 7 years, so she finally went for it. It's on her right thigh. The guy did a kickass job on it.
 This was about 4 hours after it was done. |

  I just hope.... That when your life is over and you get to the Pearly Gates, that St. Peter doesn't ask you to strip, and says "Tattoo check! You're not going in if you have any!" My gut feeling is that one of the five commandments on that THIRD tablet, the one that Moses dropped (See "History of the World, Part I") included "Thou Shalt Not Modify or Mark Thy Body for Vanity" All I can see when I see a tattoo on a woman is that beautiful skin has been covered by unnatural markings. Graffiti, of a sort. Sad. Sorry, I'm just a purist. Maybe even a bit prudish. However, that being said, there is some quality artwork being shown here. I just wish it wasn't on beautiful skin. CJ |

Earlier this evening I saw a client's son I hadn't seen for several months. He showed me his new tattoo on his upper arm (where his bicep would be if he wasn't such a little wimp). It didn't look like the typical "imitation barbed wire" but was similar, so I asked him what it was. He said it was "tribal art." I asked him what tribe he belonged to, figuring that was a logical and reasonable question. He looked at me like I was a complete idiot or alien
 . He then mumbled something about it just being "tribal art" and he didn't belong to any tribe. I then looked at him like he was a complete idiot or alien . <shrug>I don't know if this was appropriate to post in this thread, but the timing was pretty good.

What's with the BOTD?
A few of Mrs.Observer's only tat. She got it when we were finishing up college about 12 years ago, surprised me a little at the time but I like it because it's simple and elegant. The only problem is that it's been difficult restricting her to only one!
