Type/level of retention doesn't matter as long as there's something to keep the pistol from falling out in a scrum which will at least slow down somebody trying to grab the weapon.

My Blackpoint works well to conceal my Glock 22 with TLR-1.

While not a retention model, I have several Galco Concealables that seem to conceal just fine.  They have several models that do have a retention strap of some sort.  I can't imagine they are any less functional at concealment.

The assorted pancake styles seem to work about as well as anything.  Almost every company makes one.

I like this one. Middle finger hits release tab. Rides high and with a good belt it stays snug to your torso.

Would you be interested in a Galco COP 3?
Its what I use. It is very thin but strong. Very concealable and has a retention strap.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't like to carry anything that goes thru the trigger guard

It doesn't. That's just a rivet that attaches the mechanism to the leather.

It grabs the very front of the trigger guard. There's absolutely no way any part of the mechanism can touch the trigger.

My bad.  It looked like the mechanism went thru there in the pic.

On duty, I use Bladetech and Safariland OWB holster. The Bladetech conceals really well and mine fits my TLR-1 HL, but it doesnt have great retention. The safariland has a great retention system, but isn't great at concealing.

Why would you want active retention on a concealed holster? No one knows you have it. Passive retention is good enough from any of the big makers that its not going to fall out.

I dont get it

X concealment kydex owb holsters are the most concealable I've found.  There is no secondary retention feature, though.
