Hey, Any suggestions for a car based DVD with monitor and wireless headphone set up? A friend is considering an AudioVox set up, and I told him I would ask around. Anybody have one? Pros/Cons? Reviews?

For PASSENGER viewing, right? Every now and then I see articles about drivers who crash, because they were watching a DVD on a laptop while driving down a freeway.

Yes for the passengers. Something that can keep the kids entertained with movies and have an XBOX, game cube or other gaming machine attached.

Can't go wrong with Audiovox. Just make sure you have a reputable place install it. Some people don't have a clue what they're doing and you're system will never work right or will mess up constantly.

What would you suggest as far as screen size? What is a decent price to pay for a quality system? Do you think a major chain like Circuit City could do a quality installation or whould a speality shop be better?

I bought a 13" TV/DVD Combo, a power inverter and a headphone splitter jack. I drove 8 hours to KC from Chicago. Had a 6 and 7 year old in the car. The only trip (INCLUDING the 1 hour drive to the in-laws) that I have not heard "[whine on]When are we gonna be there???[whine off]". I will NOT drive anywhere without some kind of entertainment for the kids. I think the next thing will be a portable DVD (7" Screen model) as the 13" thing takes up a lot of space (and I can use it other places to kill some time). AFARR
