My wife is not happy with me.  I posted another thread (with poll) about whether to buy more ammo, a reloader, or a .22lr conversion kit.  Decided to go to the local gun store to talk to the guy there about the Dillon presses and see what his price was on ammo.
He had 2k rounds of PMC, showed me the Dillons in the brochure.  I drank some coffee, shot the shit with him for awhile as things were slow.  Looked around at the hand guns, my eyes settled on teh little 9 on the second shelf.  Asked to hold her for a little bit.  I swear I don't know what happened, my eyes must've glazed over.  Next thing I know I'm explaining to the wife how I spent 600+ on another firearm.

Oh, but she's sweet and much more accurate than I hoped for.  I causually shot the cap off of a coke bottle at 30 yards before the cap was shattered (okay, probably would've shattered the 1st time with a .45).  I REALLY like this thing.  

I hope I'm not the only impulse buyer here.

You're not alone....I have learned though to be a bit more careful though after purchasing what appeared to be a numbers matching 1940 Luger for 1500.00 only to get it home and show it to my Luger collecting friend who excitedly pointed out the fact that the barrel wasn't original.I still lose sleep over the 750.00 I lost and because the piece was a consignment item the shop wouldn't refund my money

Almost did the same thing today.  Resisted, and bought 1000 rds of Prvi 5.56 instead.  Fair price right now on the Prvi @$379 for the case.  By the way the Obama Craze is back on in the Gun Shop I use.  At least three times the normal crowd and they were buying again.  A week of executive orders is upsetting everyone again.

Yes, your a good man.  So many people will spend that much money in the bar, on a little nose candy, or on two or three guns that are not near the quality that fine springfield product is.  Quite simply it's better than money in the bank. We all know this.  I haven't had a 9mm in years and three weeks ago I picked up a XD9.  For what the gun is and how well it does shoot I know that if I done spun out and figured that I needed to sell it, I know at least four people that would hand me the same cash that I paid for it within a half hour of a phone call.  That was not a bad spontaneous buy, you know that, we've all seen bad ones. I have 9mm, 40sw, and a 45acp XD There all KEEPERS.  I wish there were more XD's out there that I could love and take care of through thick and thin.
