Two things. First, he mowers they use on those greens aren't exactly light. Second, greens on those nicer courses are very fast (hard), so it is not like your average public course that has soft greens. That being said, his house his rules.

I used to work for this company, we built spreaders fro top dressing, this a 4 yard model that would be pulled over greens with a tractor...
If you don't drive like an idiot, a golf cart is harmless. 
In fact back in about 2006 or so, Trump wanted to buy some equipment from us for his golf courses, it had to be black and have his name in it in gold on it. I remember the scramble to find enough black powder coat.... |

I can't even tell if he's on the green. He may be just off the edge. That course appears to have a bent grass greens and bent grass fairways. Bent grass fairways are a little longer but look similar. There appears to be a rounded mowing edge on the right side of the fuzzy video that appears to end past the cart. Looks like it may be hole 16 on the new course based on the layout and location of the cart path. The view on google earth shows that about half of what looks to be green in the video is the actual green. His course his rules. |
