[#13]
.50 BMG with an ammo reserve in my torso, and a feed tray from my shoulder to my upper arm.  My arm would have to lock straight at the elbow so my two piece internal barrel can couple together.  The muzzle would protrude from the top of my wrist.

Of course my aiming sytem would consist of my movement activators in my body being directly linked to my visual imput device.  So my arm cannon would automatically aim at what I am looking at.  Of couse I would only activate this aiming system when I would have to DRAW DOWN!!

.45 GAP-finally, a niche!

No, seriously, I guess the caliber of my arm-gun would largely depend on how much of the rest of my body had been replaced with servo motors.  If I still have too many human parts, I will quickly tire from humping around 400 rounds of linked .50 BMG and recoil will negatively impact my accuracy.  In fact, not only would I have to have a goodly amount of cyborg-strength to support a .50 cal arm gun, I'd also need some sort of recoil reducing stabilizer system in my shoulder.

Realistically, my cyborg arm gun would have to be in 7.62x51mm or something similar.  I could also see giving up some of my ammo load-out for a coxially mounted flamethrower.

Or is there an option for some sort of universal shoulder mount and targeting system that would allow me to accept different weapons systems?  That way you could switch to whatever sort of death-dealing instrument best fits your METT-T.

In the final analysis, I think the buzzword in limb-mounted cyborg weapons systems will be "flexibility".  Somebody needs to make a PowerPoint presentation.

Groovy. Just don't listen to old tape recorders or read any really old books.

I'd want a 7.62x25mm disintegrating link belt-fed SMG in my robotic arm. Have the gun inside and pop up out of my arm when I need it, making the ultimate in concealed weapons. And if someone wanted to disarm me, they'd have to DISARM me.

Ammo capacity would be low though if it's fitting inside the arm. Maybe do a helical magazine instead.
