What would you get?
Spend JUST enough money to buy clothes that made me look like I had $100,000, fly someplace not Seattle, and hit the clubs and pick up bitches.
ETA- Or, walking trip across Ireland from Dublin to Galway. |
Pay CC debt down to zero, then bank the rest.
Real exciting, I know. Just blow it? Ammo and reloading components, of course. |
Split it evenly between doing some work on my house and taking my wife on a kickass 20th anniversary trip.
10 grand would get me that nice vacation I have been wanting to take but not wanting to spend the money on it
Don't have any debts, and we'd like to buy a house within the next year or so, so it would just go into the "Downpayment Fund."
Spend a couple months caving in New Zealand with a friend that lives there.
I want to do a roadtrip around the US with my SO and her friends.
$10k would get me something like a reliable enough minivan or wagon and $5k to spend on shenanigans at pretty much every tourist trap between Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. |
If I "had" to spend it (would rather save it) I'd do two awesome 2 week vacations. One to Italy, and one to Asia.
I'd fix my teeth. I'll determine what to do with the rest at a later date.
Last year was the first time I was able to spend close to that amount. Got my M4 w/eotech (2nd ever in my life) Got a new g19 Got a nice safe A nice cache of ammo! Got an expensive (to me) Icon lift and full Ricochet HD armor for the truck That was altogether more than I've ever spent on things I wanted in about a six month period. We did pay cash for a brand new car back in 2011, but a car isn't as much fun as shooting and off roading BUT If I had 10K to spend, and not to 'invest' as my wife would make me do... I'd get me a rifle I could use in Alaska, new tires for the truck, a nice set of RIGID LED lights for truck, and then I would set out for a nice long trip up north. |
I would probably get me a real nice AR in 7.62. Larue or something like that. A nice ACOG or Comp M4. Then about 5000 rds of good ammo, 2000 rds of steel case and about 20 - 25 mags. That would make a real nice Christmas present.
The rest I would bank. |
I'd just dump it in my 1) "pay my son's college bill" fund or my 2) retirement fund, in that order. That's where all my money goes these days. I don't buy much fun stuff anymore. |
A kids swimming pool for $50, and $9930 worth of ammo to swim around in while rubbing it on my naked body. The other twenty dollars is for beer.
I would hit all the local walmarts and buy up all the 6920s they had
Dump it into a volatile market at the right time and make an obscene return (hopefully ). Fuck consumer spending.
5k on ammo, another 1k on a new rifle. 4k in a rainy day fund.
Wait wait wait. Forgot about the underground bunker complex with 10 years worth of food, ammo, medical supplies, hookers and blow and video games. Damn end of the world bullshit.
Something for Mrs. 32ACP & pay off some debt--but I have been accused of having f'd-up priorities!
On ONE thing or several?
I'd probably get enough tile to do the downstairs of my house. Nothing elaborate. I'd pick up a Tavor and an ACOG micro for it, and probably 4000 rounds of ammo or so. 20 PMAGS or more.... not sure what else. |
It'd go straight to investments.
10,000 dollars now is nice. 100,000 dollars several years from now would be MUCH nicer. |
No one said it already? Wow. Bitcoins man. That's the new hotness. I'd Bitcoin the hell outta 10k.
And I had to spend it?
Vacation, M1A, whole bunch of .308, and a new safe |
